Juan's Deep Blue Edge Series Reef Cube.

Looking forward to seeing this build come together! Nice choice of equiptment! That's the only way to do it, right the first time!! Good luck

Be careful with the Bubble Magus Dosing Pump, the heads pop off real easily during operation.

I checked the unit, the buttons seem to be perfectly tight, but will definitively look into that issue.

Thanks, I really wish the day of putting it together was today!!!...

Nice build. I am doing a 60 cube build also. I am putting the stand together at the moment.

Best of luck, I'll keep an eye out for your build.

Lol I'm doing a 12x12x12 cube but a lot less money involved. Very cool tank I like where your going with I always thought cubes were they way to go. Oh something funny 12x12x12 is 7.5 x2 is 15 and times four is sixty and eight of your tank size. Anyway i want to ask about dosing and reactors for a 7.5 gallon tank, is it worth it?

going to run 3.5 fuge with seaclone 100 skimmer (calcium or phosphate reactor?)

cody not to but in but when you are referring to a tank that small (nano) a reactor isnt really neccessary if you do regular water changes, depending on what salt mix you use. In case that Juan i believe his name is his tank is much larger. But i would honestly say a seaclone unless you have already unboxed it is a not useful in skimming your tank and a fuge is a good idea even if its just a sump with water and a pump being your water volume increases which is always good.Gluck man and rc is the place to get all your questions answered.

My question is i just had my new tank made a 26x26x24 tank and is the Radion fixutre going to be too much? or just right? as far goes as par value and spread? i have never run leds before i usually run radium 20k MH. Any input or info from your experience in this build will be greatly appreciated.

A Phosbane reactor would be a good investment for a tank of any size, carbon is also appropriate but on a small tank you may be well enough with media bags.

I had a similar debate when picking the appropriate lighting fixture, the Radion has a 30" spectrum coverage, but only 20"/22" of maximum light penetration, as per Ecotech this light is perfect for any tank in the 30" range AND you may not even need to run full power.

UPDATE:

I just received a call from the local fish store, the sump is ready for pick up... It looks I'll be doing some plumbing this weekend :fish2:

Meeh!!!...

Sump is not going to work, is too high and the powerhead slot is too tight; Looks like I will need to make a new one.

Another month... Sighs!!! :headwallblue:

you should take the sump to a glass shop and see if they can rework it for you-- or have them cut pieces to your specs and build your own (just dont forget to leak test it ;)

BTW I had the exact same problem with my nearly-new JBJ arctica chiller. JBJ has mine right now; its getting inspected for repair or replacement!
