Love the coral, and just my $.02, but I like the original scape better, why'd you change it?
Hi.

The arch was really cool...but once i ran out of space on it i....i didnt like it so much...also it was causing a weird flow issue in my tank were the flow pump was deflecting off it and lifting all my substrate in one corner.. [emoji19]

Thanks for visiting.

Juan

I really like your scape as it is today Juan, the arch scape looked very contrived as most of them tend to do. Sorry to hear of your little ones troubles, hope all is well now mate. Can you give us a bit of a rundown on how you run your water etc.

Very clean and crisp, like it a lot

Wow...thanks for the kind words...been secretly following and learning from you for a while. [emoji16]

Little one is doing much better...growing up super fast...still a l9ng riad ahead...but we trust in God to keep her safe and help her heal in time.

As for the tank and water...from the word go i wanted to keep it as simple as possible....so for the first part of its live it ran on just a skimmer....

About 3 months ago i switched over to zeo...as i felt like a bit of a challenge. Its been going freat so far...and love how clear the zeo system keep the water.

Parameters i run as follows:

Alk. Between 6.3 and 7.3 dKh
Ca. 400ppm
Mg 1250ppm
Po4 0ppm
salifert - want to invest in photometer
No3 0.2ppm
K 400ppm

I only use the basic zeo supps at the moment. Start, spongepower and Bac. With some snow when i do waterchanges.

I do a 10l waterchange weekly.

Let me know what you think and where i could improve on...supper keen to learn from the RC community. [emoji106]

Keep well.

Very nice mate! I love the layout and scape of the tank Definitely a very clean sexy zeo system :D Gotta love zeo in the hands of a capable reefer! ;)

I think a lot of guys secretly follow my journal Juan lol......

It won't be long and i'm sure she'll be driving you nuts like my 17 yr old son does to me mate. :)

You keep pretty similar water parameters to me, it doesn't matter really what method you use - the simpler you keep it the safer it will be from stuff ups
Myself and some of my mates here use the Elos high res phos test kit and it's very easy and much more reliable than anything else i've tried including that stupid Hanna egg thing with those annoying little packets of powder. I'd urge you to give one a try as i'm sure you'll be impressed with it - i haven't considered throwing it out the back door as i did with the Hanna thing so that's always a good sign......
I only recently started using sponge power so i have no idea if it's doing anything good, haven't seen any negative signs so far so i'll give it a few more months before it follows the Hanna on the back lawn lol. Dom knows a lot more than i do about zeo stuff but just going off your pics it looks like you aren't putting a lot of nutrients through the system. What fish have you got in the display and how much food goes in each day if i can ask.

Excellent choice going with the yellow wrasse, the bright pop of a yellow tang or wrasse can't be beaten in my opinion :)

Thanks for the advice. I currently have 6 chromis, one clown, one yellow wrasse and one 2 spot brittletooth tang. Will probably add a blenny and maybe another tang. I feed them omega one flake morning and evening. And every now and then a treat...some lobster eggs. And keep feeding ro as much as they can consume in a min or so..so dont stick too much in.

I have seen the Elos kit on the net...unfortunatly none of the LFS in SA sell them. Will see if i can get one off Sewatec or something...believe they ship to SA.

Well you have plenty of fish Juan, BFC - 1.8 so your poo manufacturing capabilities are great. Don't even think of asking me what BFC is or i'll do my nut at ya lol........:p
I'd suggest you feed a single cube of frozen mysis 2 or 3 times a week because it's good for the fish and poo'd out mysis is good for the acros imo.

I got my Elos phos kit from Sewatec so i know you will find it on their site, hopefully they can ship to SA. Make sure you order the high res kit NOT the normal Elos phos kit. Sahin tried to set me up and i ordered the wrong one at first but luckily i was able to change the order before it shipped....... :uhoh3:

Very nice clean setup, I love it. I'm just starting a 93 cube and your tank is inspiring. Glad your daughter is better.
And greetings! I have a brother north of you in Swazi!!

Thanks man. Yeah...wont ask about the BFC...was reading about it in one of your previous posts...can gather you passionate about it..[emoji12] but at least i know what its about. I beleive i read that the magic number is round about 1? So is it something to aim at achieving or would you say as long as i dont have excessive nutrient issues...1.8 is ok?

Will def get the high res version...just checked their site...they do ship to SA. [emoji106]

Thanks for all the advice so far.

I'm glad you can get the kit shipped to your place mate, it's an excellent bit of kit for those of us that don't want to waste acro fiddling time with complicated testing procedures. :)
As far as the fish thing goes as long as you can keep your nutrients well under control the more the merrier
