okay we need a list of materials, and a place to get stuff from. is there anything we need to look out for when buying fresh food. im guessing if it is fresh it should be good, but sometimes they put preservatives on them to keep them looking good for longer.

I bought silver sides at Toucan last time since they guarantee them as organic. Some people brought additives and supplements to add also. A big blender was used to dice up the big stuff (and the little stuff, an unessasary step) then people took baggies of the mixture home. Reminds me of Rod's Food, maybe the ingredients for Rod's could be used as a guideline. I will probably miss this meeting due to vacation in Cali, but I will send an item with one of the locals and hope that someone brings a baggie back for me.

Here is a list of possible things to add to the food
fresh or frozen Seafood that is not precooked or canned:
mussels
clams
shrimp
frozen sea urchins
frozen fish roe
4 oz. decapsulated Artemia nauplii
Frozen Brine Shrimp
Dried Seaweeds
Marine Flake Food
Tiny Food Pellets
Liquid Vitamins/supplements
Garlic

I will bring shrimp. Please if you can bring something commit it in writing here so we all do not bring the same thing.

It is the preservatives and "water" that they inject into the seafood that you have to watch out for. This could cause some major headaches in your DT. Check the Toucan Market. Their seafood is organic and sustainably caught. So it should be ok--no preservatives or "water". I would ask though.

However, for those members coming from EP, Sun Market on 6100 N. Mesa has fresh seafood. All of their seafood has no preservatives and is organic and sustainably farmed/caught. I did ask them. Just my .02 cents.

dude i might die. i will have to miss this meeting, our anniversary is the 17th and i think we are going camping. i would love to contribute an item and get a "baggie". if someone from cruces is going down.

hmmmm seems like there won't be any officers there Justin and Audrey are gonna play hookie. and the VP is out of pocket as well. I bet we can still have a good meeting and make some food for sure. I hope we get some new people to join us and take part and of course all the old bunch too.

It only takes two people to have a meeting, count me in. I hope Daniel, Mike, Arnie, Chuy, Kevin, Orlando, Carlos, Ben, Aaron, as well as any and all others that live over there make it to the meeting. We have to have attendance to have meetings but we don't have to have a huge attendance to make it a meeting, it does make it ice to have more people at every meeting.

I would really like to see Chris, Jimmy or Tim come to some meetings. It would be great to hear from any of them guys and get them to take part in STARS and show their support for it.

The way I see it if we can get at least a few people to have a get together of some kind then we will call it a meeting and I want to offer a time and place every month for that to be able to happen. I Really hope we never have to say well ok we just won't have a meeting this month. If nothing else I will get together with Justin, Audrey Jay, Jay, Steffen or whoever I can and call it a meeting and of course make it open to any and all that would like to attend.

Thanks for posting and showing interest in a meeting to everyone. We all have to take a part in making STARS work for all.
