July meeting

What fun! We had a great turn out, including 2 or 3 new members. Michael played Wolfgang Puck and made a great diner. Everyone mingled as we waited for the sun to go down so we can start Anthony Calfos presentation. After we pried the mic from Anthonys hands and taped his mouth shut(JK the timer on Power Point said it was only an hour and a half but it started counting long before our guest speaker actually started) we had a great raffle with a chiller, a skimmer, and all sorts of great stuff that Ben from Marine Depot was kind enough to donate to our club including Prodibio additives. Ushio (also known as Ushiro to some of you) lighting company was even kind enough to donate light bulbs to the cause. This kindness from these vendors/manufacturers are the only thing keeping the raffle going, so please show your gratitude and let these companies know. I know everyone has busy lives but if you won something, take a moment out of you day and send a quick email to whoever donated the products please, this will go a long way to improving relations for us. Last but not least a big THANK YOU goes to George Haas and his family for allowing us to come hang out and hopefully not thrash his beautiful home and pool, BTW George the shaved ice coffee cones were great!

Dave, we actually picked up 3 new and 1 renewal last night!

Thank you George for letting us invade your home, it was the perfect setting for our summer BBQ and Calfo under the stars.

Great food Michael, you can cook for us any time

Thanks to everyone else that was involved in putting this meeting on, great job.

As you can see, it takes "people" to get involved to make these things happen. It's time to start thinking about new officers for next year, so if you think you might want to be part of what it takes to make these great meeting happen, please get involved and come to a board meeting!
