Tuesday morning bump! If you've ever thought of coming to a meeting, this is the one to attend!

You don't need to be a member to participate in the raffle which is going to be extra special this month. If you are a member, be sure to bring your membership card for the "members only" prize. And of course if you want to become a member, we can get you set so you can participate in the special drawing.

List. Copps pieces: tri color, solid green efflo, calacali acro, pink table, blueberry myiagi. Others: green polyps lavender digi, penn State red cap, flower petal monti, highlighter green monti, sunset monti, superman monti, myiagi tort, forest fire digi, tyree soli.

Hello all! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone tonight! Below is a list with photos of the mother colonies of frags I sent to Anthony earlier this week for your raffle. Good luck to everyone!

Copps:beer:

Copps' Calacali Acro- beautiful tricolor-like colors on a staghorn-like super unique growth pattern.

Copps' Bright Green Efflo- Most true efflos are brown with varying degrees of purple"¦ this guy is totally different and solid BRIGHT green"¦ such a unique piece"¦

Copps' Blueberry Miyagi Tort- a beautiful piece that is a unique blue that is sort of teal as shown in the pic "¦ a much more true blue than the original Cali "œblue" tort (which is more purple)"¦

ROAB digitata- a blast from the past"¦ the original Reefer on a Budget purple base green polyp digitata"¦ I finally tracked this down again a couple years ago after missing it for years!

Copps' Bright Pink Hyacinthus Table- A bright pink table that LIVES! Wild tables like this are well-known for being very tough to adapt and keep, but this coral does well with good water quality and flow.

The Original Miyagi Tort- This name has been thrown around for years now, but this is the original Miyagi tort. This coral was bought years ago by local DC area reefer John Nguyen (va_reefman) who received the third TOTM on Reef Central way back in April 2002. We started calling him Mr. Miyagi because he groomed his corals like Mr. Miyagi with his bonsai trees. This gorgeous coral is actually probably A. austera, and is thick branching and light purple as shown under 10k/14k lighting, and shows dark purple with a green tint under 20k"¦ colony is in the top center of this shot"¦

Tyree Sunset Monti- One of the most well-known encrusting montis"¦ and for good reason"¦ yellow/green polyps on an electric red base"¦

Forest fire digitata- a beautiful digi with a contrasting base"¦ under higher light base will get more green"¦

Tyree Flower Petal Monti- Bright purple and white polyps on this LE plating monti"¦

Penn State scrolling red Monti cap- a beautiful bright red monti originally from the Penn State reef tank"¦

Highlighter green plating monti- Bright green fully plating monti that sends up columns when colony gets large"¦

Copps' tricolor- a fine branching bright purple tipped tricolor $25

Tyree Solitaryensis- a branchier efflo-like Acropora"¦ lower the flow the more branchier it is.

The Original Superman monti- I've distributed this for years now, and this is directly descended from the original colony that isseym328 got years ago, then through Bruddah and Tubs.
A shot of my mother colony"¦

It was pretty sweet if I do say so myself. Great advice from a legend. Plus we all purchased his secret formula to a perfect reef tank. Oh the coral raffle was decent too I suppose :P

Yeah I think the raffle was great as well :) Amazing speaker, John gave a great presentation and really had a wealth of information to share with the club.

Agree 110% -- if you weren't there you missed a MACNA quality presentation

Just how I felt when the boss said Shawn your holding over tonight.

Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Had to miss the raffle due to an early start time at work this morning. But was well worth being tired today to have had the experience of hearing a veteran reefer give such a nice and well thought out presentation.

My hat is off to Anthony on this one. I know he put in a good amount of time and effort to make this happen. Makes me really appreciate being a MARS member. There are not a lot of other clubs who do the things for there members that this club does. Hats off to all the board members and those general members who support the club so we can all enjoy benefits like this.

Good Job People...
