That's the alpha herbivore. Discourages competition for food and rules the reef top. Always gets first crack at any waffles.

Here's a shout out for RC sponsor Marine Depot:
Great customer service...thanks!

There are 2 or 3 nice blue Acros in that area

There are 2 or 3 nice blue Acros in that area

I'm not sure of their names. One came from cully...so maybe he has a name. I got the other 2 @ CF about 9 years ago.

Well whatever it is I really like its growth pattern and color, so if you ever have a frag, let me know

one of these blue Acros glows yellow/green at the skin (base) and growth tips under blue leds. The other is solid blue under leds. The third blue Acro has a very light blue (almost white)skin/ base under halides. Although they all appear very similar, I'm pretty sure they are different species.

All three Acros are showing extremely similar (horizontal) growth in my aquarium due to it's water flow patterns

The one from me was wild caught. As with many of those, all I can say is Acropora. My guess using Borneman was A. austera....but who knows. It's dang purdy.

Thanks, Mark.
It really IS very nice. Jake Adams asked me about that particular Acro as well. Unfortunately, I have no positive ID on it yet.
Gary,

What is your typical daily feeding routine?
Auto feeder drops one turn of pellet.
I'll add another turn or two manually when I get home.
I also toss in a small portion of frozen Hikari mysids.
Feedings usually done in late afternoon when halides are shutting down

I started dosing AcroPower (aminos) about a year ago.
The big urchin usually spawns during evening feedings.
That stuff is probably food too!
