Ooo - are we doing coral-a-day pics?! Nice to get some close up looks at some of these corals.
I'm interested to hear your continuing experience with the goni as well. Beautiful coral and it looks like it found a forever home :) :)

(Back in the '90's I had a Goni for about a year before it died. I consider one year a failure. A fish killed my first Goni which was doing very good on rotifers.)
My (yet identified to species) Goni came from another person's reef aquarium. (How long they actually had this particular coral I'd like to know.)
I'm aware ORA is propping this one so (whatever the case with it's previous owner) it's a good candidate for captivity in my system- as long as my fishes leave it alone!

I've had it a week and I've been feeding it a slew of stuff. I also started dosing an Iron and Manganese (Fe & Mn) supplement.
Justin Credabel has a lot of recommendations posted online that I've been heeding.

I'd really love to see how yours does long term. I'm also curious as to where you have it in the tank in terms of flow and lighting and whether or not Junior has noticed or taken an interest in it?

My Indo-Pacific Regal Angel just recently decided it likes Zoa's (snacked on some nice semi-espensive Devil's Armor Zoa's...ate em all in under 2 minutes :mad:), and has recently begun nibbling on a sick Derasa clam in my tank.....all this after 3 years of being a model citizen....
So I'm kinda leery of introducing a beautiful LPS like that into my system, even though the Regal hasnt touched my Ritteri or any of my SPS or a gorgonian I have in the tank...so its not like its a hopeless endevour...I just want to see what you are doing and what works best for you.

I saw my Emperor sample the goni on day three. It was obvious to me that it didn't like the taste of the coral. (It shook it's head violently while quickly swimming away.) I'm sure that my butterflyfish also sample the goni while I wasn't watching but (so far) the coral is fine. Knock on wood.
I'll post a bigger pic of the goni's location when I get a chance.
 
Amazing tank really full of life. Super active fish. Glad I got to see this in person. I cannot wait to upgrade my display in a few years to to a peninsula tank.

one common remark made by people that see my aquarium is that Junior is actually larger than he appears in pictures.
