Junior's Reef

Sorry to hear. I know how I feel when I lose my little fishes that I've had for only a couple years, I can imagine that is more like the loss of a dog.

GAry,

I'm sorry.I'll miss the junior stories and photos. Wonderful fish

So sorry for your loss. I just want to make notice of how much of an impact gary and junior have had on this community. It speaks volumes to how well loved and respected both of them are by all of the comments from people paying respects. He was one of the coolest fish ive ever saw!

Gary, so sorry for your loss. I lost my juvi imperator in a crash and was devastated. I can't imagine how you're feeling. My condolences.

Update!

Update!

It's been awhile since I added anything to this thread or Junior's former reef :)

My carpet anemone and tuxedo urchin co-existed many years together but THAT ended several weeks ago when the anemone grabbed it and ate it.
I replaced the tuxedo with a diadema yesterday- hopefully the longer spines will prevent a similar ending.
I also added a filefish.
Scrawled files have always been one of my favs but they grow much too large for home aquariums... So a little Aiptasia eating cousin is the substitute after several years of considering adding one.
Not many changes or major additions.
That's ok because I enjoy growing my corals and really appreciate all of my "old" critters.

I did get to visit the New England Aquarium last week.
I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't realize how big and fat a fish can get!

How long did it take the anemone to digest the urchin?
Did it regurgitate the test/skeleton of the urchin?
