Thanks, Justin!

Until I took these iPhone pix I wasn't aware of how my magnet was squaring off corals!

encouraging sign!

Since my most recent previous post a blue Acro grew close enough to the glass that my magnet fragged it!

Yesterday ...all of a sudden and out of the blue...the anemone decided to zap the Echinopora growing below it. The anemone appears bleached in the tentacles it was using to zap the coral.

Yeah ...the coral suffered the worst.
As expected.
I'm surprised the anemone sustained any visible changes.
It was odd to see it climb down its rock pedestal to go after the Echinopora.

Obviously, it was intentional.

That anemone senses the presence of that Echinopora!

The funny thing is that this is a great example of why commas are important. When I first read this, I was waiting to be shocked/in aww of the difference in size between the coral and the anemone. I quickly realized that instead, I only needed to brace 'myself'.

Tuesday nights storm here knocked power out for 6 hours.
The Vortech battery backup worked flawlessly.

My largest Pocillipora suffered some damage because part of the coral was above waterline for over 6 hours.

Look closely and you can see the dead/white area on top of the highest Pocillipora. This pic was taken at solstice summer 2014. Ushio 14ks.

Is there a way to QUICKLY embed a photo like this DIRECTLY from my phone?
I want to be able to skip the photobucket step.
Like posting a pic on FB!

I know for sterilzation a solenoid is required on uv filters to keep contaminated water from getting past the light during a power outage. They are for regular copper pipe, I wonder if there are any for use on larger PVC? Was it mostly water down the drain or back syphon that lowered the water level?
