lmao looks great, do you have any close up shots?

No but I can take some...what do you want to see? Corals? Fish?

Many of my corals have browned out during the move but I will take pics of each one anyways so that I can compare color now and in the months to come after I have ZEO up and running again.

Some of the corals though look better than before the move. Its really weird.

Thank you so much for the compliments!

I have been so inspired by all the big tanks here on RC! It seems that people really put the time and care into all tanks here but especially the bigger systems. The years of reading through all the big tank threads has really inspired me. I felt kind of silly posting a 200G in the Big tank section but I have always wanted to post here :D

The room is actually pretty much the whole place! I live in a small condo. Vancouver is a VERY expensive city to live in with the average house costing well over $500 000 and actually I believe its closer to $750 000, so I am unable to buy a home at this point but really wanted to stay in the city. So I guess its a bit of a trade off...be in the city but have a small space. Its worth it to my fiance and I though. We love this place!

The 14' ceilings really help to make the place feel bigger than 600 sq. feet. Our bed is also a murphy bed, which is nice because it saves so much space! You can see it a bit in some of the pics. Its the big white thing on the opposite side of the room from the tank. Believe it or not, thats a king size bed.

Anyways, I will try to put together a 360 degree view of the room tomorrow.

Oh and fish/coral pics :D

How the Tusk been for you? How long have you had him and what's he eat? O.K. with the clams? Always been a favorite fish but have been scared to try one, just lost my 14 year old Flame so I'm looking for a new center piece fish.

So I have a few pictures from about a month ago before I transfered tanks.

These are my favorite corals. Don't expect anything rare or special here though, I am not into expensive stuff. I prefer fast growing or simple color. Perhaps its partly cause I just can't afford the crazy expensive corals AND besides, I am more of a fish guy anyways :D

Yeah they are interesting fish...eat anything really. Mine eats prawn, squid, mussels, clams, pellets, nori...

He also eats inverts though if they don't have a shell. So snails and hermits are fine but shrimp no way with mine. I know some people keep them with shrimp no problem though. I do have a cucumber and conch also that he leaves alone.

They do kind of limit you with what inverts you can keep but well worth it to me.

He does not touch clams at all. He doesn't bother corals at all.

Oh I have had him about 2.5-3 months, so not that long but I know some people who have had them long term and they are quite gentle.

Here he is eating Nori:

Good looking tank. It goes well with the room which i am sure u know. Do u have enough live rock though??

Yup. I have run tanks for years this way. I am not a fan of having too much LR. I find if you have too much, it just traps detritus and ends up being detrimental to the system than good.

My 130G had 80lbs. of LR and this 200 has about 100-120 lbs.

Prior to that, I had a 180G for years with just 80 lbs. no problem.

Im not sure where the pounds per gallon rules came from but I don't like them. There is just way too many variables to say that a pound per gallon is necessary--I see no reason I need to cram this tank with 200 lbs. of LR!!!

nice setup! what bulb and ballast are you running with?

Mogul base XM 20K with a PFO HQI ballast. I really like the color and intensity. Corals seem happy enough.

beautiful setup! Love the room and fish

Thank you very much!

Both the room and tank have been such a work in progress for the past while that its nice to finally almost be done.

Picked up a few new fish today...

I had to turn off the left halide to get decent pics. No flash, so kind of dark but you get the idea. This tank has been VERY tough to photograph for some reason...

Bit of a group shot...to my amazement, no aggression from the old tangs! I added the Powder Brown and a Kole. I thought for sure there was gong to be problems. Thrilled that my tangs are so well behaved :D

The Kole is in the middle...very small little guy. So cute!

Boy is the Powder Brown ever active! He really zips around the tank much faster than the other tangs.

I would say he is by far the most active, followed by the Hippo, and Kole. The Yellow is kind of mellow and slow and the Naso seems to just constantly be in cruise control ;)

Naso has to be my favorite still!

Its also incredible how much filament algae the Kole Tang has eaten off the back glass already. He is a busy little guy too.

Got some good shots of the Powder Brown. He certainly isn't shy and seems to like the camera.
