I can't believe I missed that! It must not have gotten over my wall, or perhaps it's just that I'm comfortably numb. Let me see if I can find them. I do have high hopes! And maybe this thread will be coming back to life.
On Thin Ice
Echos
Run like Hell
Time
Money
The Wall
Thank you! Nice job to you on remembering that Echos even exists. That song took up an entire side on my Meddle LP as I recall. Those albums were not nearly as popular as Dark Side, or The Wall.
With the EX? Is that an issue?
I say do it!!! There is always time for more coral! I ordered a Kalk reactor and 4 replacement T5 bulbs this week
(My wife see's the boxes but so far hasn't had any questions)
This is fun! Does't fit in the SPS forum but I'm sure some of you will enjoy it.
This was an 8 hour time lapse of a small Zoa colony, it amazes me that they are always up to stuff. They close, open get smaller, get bigger etc. Pics were 1 per min.
Well! With the Kalk reactor, it has a non-sealing lid so I plan to put it in the sump and have my ATO feed it. It will gravity drain into my sump. I plan to put in some safety checks using my APEX to kill topoff if the PH gets too high.
As far as the timelapse goes, it depends. For this one I used an intervolometer connected to my Canon T4i. This took photos every min until I stopped it. I then used a program called virtualDub (free) to stitch the photos together into a time lapse video.
As far as long term time lapses go, I use a small linux computer called a Raspberry pi to take photos every couple hours and save them to a flash drive. This computer combines photos from a week ago, a month ago, and two months ago and publishes them to my website every night.
Here is the basic setup, but I've now made a mount for it out of acrylic and mounted it to my hood. I had issues with the cell phone mount falling off the tank.
