Anyway Loc, sorry for all the "confusion". Looks like a very well built reactor. Most commercial products donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t appear to be built so well. May I ask if you are planning to run it as a reverse flow? [/B]

No problem at all, I could if I want to... all I have to do is to reverse the flow on the pump but then it might limit the use of diff. grain sizes of medias. I've noticed most people have reversed flow having bigger size of media due to smaller size media might get suck into the pump. This one I might add a spray bar to see if it's any better.

Update some more pictures...

looks nice but 2 things

1 with the pvc pipe above the chamber you might have a hard time opening the reactor to put more media in..

2. why a panworld? a small eheim would suffice...

here is a pic of mine i bought it.. have no real skills to do what you did...

Thanks for the comp., yours also looks nice and the diff. is you bought but I made mine. To answer your Q#1, I don't think undo another union to remove the lid is hard at all. #2, I use the pressure pump for a better circulaion, media will dissolve efficiently with a pressure hose hitting them even you can run it at high ph, and if I run it at low ph I don't get mud built up. And I have a question for you: Why do you think some of the commercial reactors such as MTC pro cal. reactor or My reef creation using Iwaki md 20 for? or they couldn't figure out the small Eheim?

Ouch loc, What is going on? If you don't want to give me that Ca reactor, It is ok. No need to be bitter :)

What's happenning, dude?

I was just kidding. I like the way you respond to bebo 77 therefore i make a joke that is it. Do you want to go to Fragfarmer today? I need to pick up some suppliment.

Thank you Kenny. And no, I already have one I made for myself a few year back. I made this one for a friend. I am on my way to make another one exactly like this to trade for a Euroreef skimmer, MRC 3 with the becket injector, or a Etss 800 skimmer later on.

Sick reactor...is that a built in flow meter I see?

Thanks for your complements, and yes it is a built in flow meter. You will be able to regulate from 0-100ml/m without the hassle of dripping it in the cup and then measure. Sometimes, your dripping will clog due to cal. built up, with flowmeter you can check and reset in a second.

Oh...that's a flow meter for the effluent...very nice. I thought it was for Co2. I have a flow meter for my CO2, but just a pinch valve for the effluent. The pinch valve doesnt really get clogged like those minature ball valves, but the flow meter for CO2 is 100% better than a needle valve. Only problem is they are kind of expensive.

The reactor is really nice. Loc was nice enough to allow me to come check it out in person. I've never had a calcium reactor before but after seeing Loc's I'm inspired to make my own.

Thanks Loc.

Thank you Loc01 for custom built the reactor for me. Very impressive piece of equipment. I like the way it run. By the way, thank you for taking your time helping me set up the Ca Reactor Loc.
