Just a gripe...RO/DI takes forever

I'm filling my tank today with the RO/DI system I got from Randrew yesterday (Thanks Andy!) I changed the filters out, changed some gaskets, replaced the DI resin etc and now I am making 65 gallons of water...slowly. So here I am on the forums while I wait to change my buckets again.

I can empathize with you! We just did the same thing awhile back with our 150g! It took a few days!

I did a 240 with 75 sump. Those painful days were like heaven once I was waiting to complete cycle and add fish. Drip drip drip is nice. Stair stair stair is painful.

Only condolence I have is next time I go to do this for the upgrade (which will probably be a 120) is that I'll have the RO/DI ahead of time and be making water for a while before I'm ready to add it.

I appreciate the perspective you guys added with the "waiting for a cycle" aspect though.

Took something like 10 days to fill my 360g, 75g sump, two Brutes for RO/DI backup, and a third Brute for kalk.

Do I get the award?

Well that makes me sound like quite the whiner doesnt it? Sure wish I still lived in Maryland where I could just go get some water from the beach 6 blocks from my house. I think you can have the award for now!

It's better than not having one at all. I was SOO excited to get mine that the wait is more than worth it.
