May not have 90 days yet! you need 50 posts and 90 days to view.

Yup, They changed the Rules a while back to protect the newbies from buying junk they don't need...

Not sure I agree with that rule change. I am technically no longer a noob by definition, but am still capable of making bad decisions! Like making my own 10 gallon refugium with a hole drilled in it.

Yeah that is a lame rule change. And pretty arrogant to think we need to be protected from ourselves, and by "them". What about people who have experience and just joined the site. ridiculous. But this is why I frequent other sites, as well.

back on topic, Robert text me and we can talk about other places you can look besides RC.

Yeah, I meant no slight to you Bill. Only to the powers that be. and FTR it is generally "noobs" who need things, and below market value at that. okay i am done.

Was that the true stated purpose of the rule change? If not, we may be jumping the gun for the wrong reason. On another forum that I help run, we used to have similar rules, but it was for the exact opposite reason, to keep new people from ripping off members, and to require someone to use the forums for reasons more than simply selling their junk.
