Just FYI…even aquariums can be deadly 😩

There is a saltwater version with a different name.
Divers encounter it a lot.
Just as nasty & can be deadly if not caught in time.
Hospital if you get it & tell them you have a saltwater aquarium.

And then there is the box of water with 27 electric cords going into it thing. The venomous animals and hydrogen sulfide too.
I suppose I could think of one or 2 more like ozone.

Mycobacterium marinum Infection

Keep your wits about you.

I worry about this all the time, I typically have my arm in reef systems for a few hours a day, so far all I have gotten was some nasty stings and irritation but I diligently spray my arm down with isopropyl alcohol when moving from one system to the next due to our biosecurity protocols, so at least I'm getting the occasional sterilization haha. A former coworker of mine did end up getting some type of swelling infection that he had to get lanced and go on antibiotics for.

You can die from when your cat bites you accidentally while playing. If it swells and turn red go for the antibiotics. It can be bad on hands because of all the joints.
Keep your wits about you and go on is all you can do.
