Super stoked as I just got a johnsoni pair...as well as a rhomboid pair, but those are secondary to the johnsoni.
They are currently in my QT, which I will acclimate slowly with dim lighting, then start prazipro after a week or so.
They both came out to eat a few hrs after I put them in the QT. The female was very bold, as with the female rhomboid.

They also had a male Bells, but had to pass on that.

The johnsoni I feel good about, but rhomboids are my nemesis wrasse. If I lose these, I'm done with rhomboids

Fingers crossed.
And no, I don't have pix, cuz I'm a tech moron.

Picture will be nice [emoji12]
Time to get photobucket

I had photobucket Lawrence. I forgot my password and forgot how to upload here effectively
Plus I only have a camera phone, so pics are all crappy

Thx for the skimmer btw. It'll be a long while before I set it up, but u gave me too good of a deal to pass up

Pm sent

Ok, so I re established photobucket. So now how do I import pics from photobucket to here?

Congrats; one of my favorites still.

And second to TJ's comments; it's exciting to see johnsoni again - it's been a while.

Thanks Hunter.
Yes, I haven't seen them since PIA shut down. Hence why I couldn't pass it up. They were considerably cheaper being wholesale, but obviously higher risk. But I feel comfortable taking that risk given the price. Now if it were retail prices, I couldn't stomach the cost of a pair.

I just hope my cf. lancelatous, japanese lunatus, and the johnsoni all get more terminal colors so the differences is way more distinguished. My lancelatous is the most striking of those 3, he's also been in the tank longer as well. He's beautiful all the time, but especially when displaying.

Those may squabble a bit together. My johnsoni's rule the pintail, and they were pretty hard on the spooky Japanese lunatus when he was still around.

It wasn't just PIA's departure; no one was collecting much (if at all) at Kwaj. since then.

My lunatus is very bold. Never hides.and my lancelatous is a pushover. Both those 2 are maybe 3-3.5". The johnsoni male is maybe 1.5" and female is 1".
The tank is 11' long and has a male Rosefascia, the 2 mentioned above, a male labouti, male lineatus, male earlei, male black fin, female 8 line, female flame, female solorensis, and a female blue sided. The aggression is so dispersed that there actually aren't any squabbles at all.

FWIW, more wrasses in a smaller tank here, and the johnsoni's only care about those in their complex; pay no mind to the rest.

Hope that since they are so small that the other two will continue to be able to handle their own

My cf. lanceolatus is boss of the three, Johnsoni and cf. lunatus stay out of his way.

Would love to run across a bells but would be pretty scared to add one to my group.

Congrats on the Johnsoni pair. Like you, the Rhomboid is the one that I have the worst luck with. My last terminal male jumped out when I pulled up the screen top to move a coral. He was out of the water for a just a few seconds, but he hit the wood floor. The next morning I found him dead in my tank. I found a super nice terminal male in Diver's Den, but he arrived dead. The only fish that has ever arrived DOA from Diver's Den. :(
For some reason, I have the worst luck with the Rhomboids. How nice was the male Bell's?

Thx reza, yeah my fingers are crossed.
The bells was pretty nice. tBH, they seem like a normal linespot, or filamentus to me. I know when they flash they look great, but just not enough color for me to jump the gun on.
