I just got a call from Got2lb, he said he wont have power till atleast wed and is packing up all the inhabitants in his tank and is bringing them over. I feel pretty fortunate to have power at this point. It really makes you think about how much we rely on having power.

I've been meaning to try new corals/fish in my 125. I'll enjoy the ones Got2lb leaves here. Wish me luck in keeping the critters! We need to be so grateful for what we have. I just sent my mom to my brother's house today. Looks like Thurs or Fri before they get power. My other bro in IL was told to not expect power til at least next weekend.

A couple hours ago I booked a hotel in Des Moines for my parents. They are without power, phone, water(?!), and until I got the call even the cell phone towers were down. The highway they live on is closed due to powerlines over the road. Our biggest pto generator is running my uncle's and grandmother's places, our smaller generator is running our hired guy's house, and we've got a welder powering our fridge and freezer. Can't get our 4th generator started. Glad my tank's not in their area!

Going on day two with no power now. Its getting old. I went and bought a generator yesterday, its big enough to run the tanks (first and foremost), refrigerator, freezers, tv, and as of a couple hours ago the furnace.

I may wire it in tomorrow to run more stuff then what it is now. Might add a transfer swithch, I will need it anyway after the whole house generator gets in.
