I plan to do some work on my tank and wanted to get some new rock. Several people suggested Marcorocks. I figured I would try someplace else just to see how things compare. I ordered 44 pounds of dry rock from Bulk Reef Supply.
$113 including shipping to Horseheads.
All 44 pounds
12 pounds "Reef Saver" at $2.69/pound this is really nice stuff. Lots of large holes, low density. I'll have to see how it looks in the tank.
12 pounds shelf at $2.69/pound. Also looks really nice. I got one large slab over ten pounds and a smaller chunk.
20 pounds "mixed" at $1.34/pound. one large piece of what looks like dry Fiji (lower right) and four other good size chunks. Two are really low density.
Overall I am very happy. This is much nicer than the CaribSea stuff I bought previously. I'll have to see how it all works out once in the tank. It was shipped quickly and very little rubble.
Should make a nice addition to the tank and at less than $3/pound. Hope to get it seeded and coralline covered up quickly.
