I have a couple of questions.

1)there is a hole located in the back of the skimmer. the hole on my skimmer is constantly pouring water out is this normal?

2)i can see the foam but it is not 1/2 way up the cleaning cup as the directions recommend. actually it is not even touching it. is this normal has only been running for 10 minutes.

3) also if i need to adjust the air does tightening increase or decrease foam

thanks in advance, sure there are more coming.

Hi,

1) Not sure about the hole in the back, never really looked. I seem to recall some of my other comline components had holes in the back you could close with a plastic plug.

2) Sometimes the skimmer takes time to break in - make sure that the impeller is not loose and that the air hose is not kinked. My 9010 came with the plastic prop for the impeller loose.

3) Tightening will restrict the air flow to the venturi and you will see drier foam. You may want to run it wide open (screw off or just barely in) until you see foam rise to the top of the colllection cup.

Hope this helps

Hello,

It is very normal for water to exit out of the small hole in back. You can plug it with a small cork if you want, but more water will come out of the overflow pipe if you do. I don't and I don't even have to use the foam sleeve to eliminate bubbles because of this. One less thing to have to clean.

Tomorrow you should see the foam rising up into the cup assuming you have some sort of bio-load. Maybe even sooner. I think mine only took a few hours.

Yes, the dial screwed in clockwise restricts the air input. Try it out, and you should see and hear a difference. Hope this helps.
