Just the Tip! 36x24x12 45g Reef

Changed some corals around, got a couple new ones, and got new light bulbs. Finally got around to snapping some pictures and post them. I have been working nonstop and haven't been home to enjoy the tank as much.

And just for fun, we upgraded the seahorse tank from a 16 to this Cardiff!

As always, thanks for looking and happy reefing!

Hello, I don't think thins has been asked before and I read the whole thread, but what kind of sand are you using in the 45gal Penninsulla and how deep is it? looks like 1/2" deep on average and maybe CaribSea Special SeaFloor? Looking great!

How do you keep your tank so clean?
I have a lot of filtration on there! Algae turf scrubber, 2 twolittlefishies reactors, eshopps s-150 skimmer, filter floss, and about 30 pounds of live rock in the sump, it keeps itself going pretty well.
But before I post pictures, I definitely clean the glass better than normal.

Man such an awesome looking tank. Looks way bigger than it is. Great job and keep up the good work.
Thank you very much, the 12 inch height makes it look a lot bigger for sure. I tried to keep the aquascape as open as possible which meant going smaller.

I always thanks for posting.. love the tank

Thank you very much.

Its was about 3/4" before the watchman gobies decided to stash most of it in the back of the tank, we are playing an ongoing tug of war with the sand bed to cover the egg crate and bottom.
I honestly don't remember what the specific type of sand was. I will try to figure it out.

Amazing!

What is everything in the last picture? Looks like some sun corals but what's the rest? Tube anemones?

The pinkish coral on the right near the top looks like a rhizotrochus typus. The other large ones in the same area loom to be also.

Very beautiful tank.

No tube anemones yet, those are all sun corals, dendros, and a monomyces.

Beautiful, X!

Thanks amigo! Hope all is well!

That last pic looks awesome!

Tank looks beautiful
Thanks Diesel!

Thank you Lacy. Its actually a monomyces, but I bought it as a rhizo

I cheated. Took the T5 light off and replaced it with a LED that was intended to be temporary, but once I saw the all blue led POP, I couldnt go back.
Did the T5HO for color and growth. Now I need the growth to stop and color is always more fun whenits adjustable.

Picture with samsung s6 and orange glasses!
