Just thought I'd share this.

I'll sell some for $29 and will even include 4 to 5 more strands of cheato than liveaquaria. Act now and I will also include the contents of my skimmer cup. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!!

Seriously though, I'll give this stuff away pretty much any time someone in the club needs some. Occasionally I sell it on the forum for $15 for a flat rate box full. That's pretty much break even for the shipping and effort, but I hate throwing it out.

I can't grow the stuff any more. Out competed by the skimmer and turf scrubber I guess. I have a golfball sized ball in my sump that's been more or less the same exact size for the last year.

I have a rare strain of Chaeto, culled from a secret place in the South Seas. I'll sell you a sandwich bag full for $100.00. Act fast, this kind of offer comes once in a lifetime. But Wait! Act now and I'll throw in a second bag full for the price of shipping and handling. Be aware that I charge quite a lot to handle this stuff.

Someone educate me. I've seen others make reference to chaeto but I don't have any, don't know what it's good for and don't know what I would do with it if I had it. Anyone?

It s a common macro algae. Very modest nutrient reduction is possible. More often it's A detritus trap . Pods ,zoo plankton, tend to thive inside it when used in conjunction with a refugium.
