That thread is painfull to read, every picture of the original mother colony isn't shown, nor Sand Dollars.......considering the lore are reputation of this piece, it would be cool to see a picture of the original mother colony that Aquascene had......or have I already and not realized it Karl? ours so far is blue/purple throughout. I hope that we got what we were after and that it colors up "properly" eventually, although any echinata should be nice.. the ice/fire one (cream/blue) was what we wanted. Ours is still on the bottom of our tank (still pretty high light, comparatively). I will check to see if it is encrusting yet, but the last time I check I did not see that it had.

The more I look at the various pcture in this thread the one we got doesn't look like hte same as the cream/blue echinata out there (referred to as the ice/fire on a couple of sites). I am not even talking about color, but the growth pattern just looks different to me. I did hear that there were several echinatas that came out of Aquascene, I suppose that the one we got was from a different strain/line ? Any thoughts on that speculation ?
