I can't figure out what kind of carpet this is??

That is an Atlantic Sun carpet anemone, Stichodactyla helianthus. Do not buy it. the verrucae that is brownish yellow is what give it away.

Are they hard to keep?

They are easy to keep but is a potent fish eater including clownfish.

Oh jeez sounds cool though I do have 4 empty tanks on my one system maybe I'll put him in one try him out start a thread on him

You can start a thread on it showing people what not to buy! LOL :smokin:

They're very common, especially at Petco. People buy them thinking they're a gigantea or mertensii then have to return them once they find out what it is.
