Juvi Blueline Angelfish

It's really nice to see the juv triggling down to the lfs level where the buyer gets a chance to see it before buying. For the past year I see prices have come down quite a bit from the lfs in order to compete with online vendors to survive so I would think you're not going to pay that much of a premium.

Is this the largest batch of BLs (especially juv and small) make it to the states?

Its been close to 2 weeks and my Juvi doesnt seem to be eating anything i drop in the tank. She does pick incessantly at the live rock but has no clue about the floating morsels of live baby brine, frozen mysis and adult brine. My adult eats everything and anything including snail poop. Anyone else have this problem?

It usually takes this long. Mine are nipping the rocks and I have flooded the tank w/ Rods, live worms, and mysis. I think my larger one is eating a little now, but the smaller ones are not eating yet.

I am having this same problem, it just picks off the rocks. Allthough it has picked at mysis and shredded nori, then it seems to "chew" it then spits it out...

An exciting time with all the juvi bluelines! It's been years! Here's my little guy in a 5 1/2 gallon QT with a flame/rusty Centropyge hybrid and a tiny flavoguttatus anthias... :)

What the EFF is that? Even *I* take better pics than that!!!

Great pics; looks like mine! Actually I have the same two guys in qt, too. Aren't they the charms?

All 3 of mine are getting along great now and the 2 little ones are eating flake food and frozen brine and mysis aggresively.

It's funny that the adult doesn't even give them the time of day but the little ones frolic around together every once in awhile

Thanks LA and Kevin for a great pair of fish. Just incredible!

I hope that everone's do well and best of luck!

It's a video... click on it! :spin3:

Yeah, I know. I think I saw this in there though...

My two juvies are eating Hikari mysis and live brine like crazy. Smallest one now looks like it swallowed a pea.

Those that are having problems how much flow do you have in the tank? I have lots of flow which seems to encourage them as the food goes by them real fast and they get very excited and chase the food.

Lots of flow, lots of floating carcass... just no hits. You figure the juvi would learn from the adult. Well i guess its a matter of time. Im not scared yet of it perishing. Still healthy and eating pods...

Wow, where are all these BLs coming from? Its like a floodgate opened somewhere & here they came. But that is a good thing really! I love all these little guys & they have me wishing for my bigger tank, which refuses to materialize...

When I got my pair a couple years back I actually got them in December '08, which I was informed by the collector that it was rare for such small size adults (2.5" & 3") to be available for collection. However I was told that typically smaller adult Bluelines are more common to the US market in the spring and juvies in the middle of the summer...so yes, technically it is the "season" for Bluelines.

I'll try and put it inline here:

Also, no need to worry, there is a bit of PVC pipe and a large sponge in QT with the little guy (~2.5").
