Kalk paste dropped into acan mouth!!

As I was kalk pasting some hydroids I bit fell off the tip of the syringe dead in the center of an acan colony. It hit one polyp dead in the center of the mouth. Instantly the polyp retracted in further than I have ever seen. Is this polyp a goner???

I've dropped kalk paste onto zoos by accident and it nuked them .....
