Jack... yours is not to be overlooked, either. I was going to build one like yours until I found a used one.
Nothing like RWillieK's though. His was $30 in parts. Great work! The only thing I would change is move the intake to the pump higher up to keep too much sludge from going through the pump and shortening the life of the impeller.
A kalk reactor simply allows the lime to full dissolve into the water so you don't dose the impurities that are also in the lime, which fall to the bottom of the reactor.
