Any metals that are added via a CaRx (calcium reactor) are really going to be null. It really depends on the quality of media used in the reactor. Not saying that good media might not leach anything, but for the most part any metals would be non detectable.
Most use a CaRx and Kalk together. A calcium reactor is really a Alk Reactor. So you are adding Alk and Calcium, but the ratio of Alk is higher. So we use a Kalk reactor to add Calcium and also helps raise PH with systems that are using a large volume of CaRx effluent.
CaRx's are very reliable and easy to use once you get them setup correctly.
As far as Kalk impurities, there are different levels of contaminates in it as well. There are charts that detail the levels of metals and such that are in the actual product you use. Food grade Calcium Hydroxide has the least amount of impurities.
