blooming hek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats alot for the skimmer are you going for a picticular make like dletec or something or the cheapest but decent that comes to your attention?

If you think thats alot then you want to take a look at some proper skimmers.Ive been looking at a Deltec but its not going to fit in my sump so i think im going to get a TMC.

right i know people can pay alot for them but you i thought that yours would be ok but if you are emptying them every4 days with 1/4 cup full then its worth it then emptying it every week with 1 full cup

Skimmers should be skimming more than that.1 cup every 2 weeks is not enough.

oh right i dont know about skimmers that much on the rates but i know how they work now!

I will get some newspaper tommorow and try out some different rock structures to see what i like. Im also getting a little USB tank for my desk. :lol:

I was thinking for the air injection i could put two airlines at both powerheads and also drill a hole through the PVC piping just as it returns to the tank and insert some airline with airstone and run the airpump for 2 minutes every 4 hours. What do y'all think? WIll this work.

one of the things youll have to be carefull of is when the injection system is not running, its not drawing air in through whatever inlet you have. that will be a source of irritating micro bubbles!

did you see the method used by weatherson to keep air from being drawn into the pumps when the air injection system is not in use? its pretty clever!

I never thought of it but if there is an airstone attached? So if i was to use an acrylic cylinder on this air injection system, how would i go about doing everything im confused on how i am going to do it still. Sorry to be such a trouble

I just got Reefcon and im still working it all out, Im just adding expenses. If i find this difficult, how am i going to do this air injection let alone the reef :lol:
