Kdoc's 210g Reef Tank

Thanks guys :) Yeah I love that clown tang. So gorgeous. You can thank my girlfriend for those shots. They came out pretty darn nice lol.

Anyone know any good fish stores/aquarium zoos in/around the Reno/Tahoe area? Will be there next week!

Also is anyone aware of whether Bob's Exotic Fish and Coral in Milford has Purple Tangs in stock or not?

Thanks

Not sure how far you are willing to travel but "Krystal Clear Aquatics" in Auburn, MA had a Purple Tang and even a few Chevron Tangs on Sunday. The Purple Tang was a medium sized one. The Chevron Tangs wers kind of small but super cool looking. I have never seen them before and they are like tiger striped, very cool.

Chevrons are awesome. I used to have one that I bought online but it wasn't eating an eventually died :(. Would love a big fat healthy one.

Hey Kev, tank is looking great! As for the Eels, I hear that they are pretty docile and shy. I'd be concerned with those tangs, not so much attacking, but keeping them mostly in their burrows. Should be fine, but you may have to spot feed them, as those tangs will be fast to the food. Good luck!

Thanks! Unfortunately my damn clown tang disappeared :( My favorite fish... I don't know what happened.. He was constantly bullied by the powder blue so that may have something to do with it. I check the overflow boxes to see if he fell in there and guess what! I found my damn Tomini tang that had been missing for MONTHS! I couldn't believe my eyes.. I was like.. what the hell fish is that? That's not the clown tang...? He is healthy and fat as hell. Gets along fine with the other tangs, as they were already in a previous owner's tank together. So I try to view the loss of my clown tang with some light.

Yeah I've considered having to spot feed them. I'm considering piling up a bunch of sand in one spot that will be easier for me to spot feed them in hopes that they settle there.

Caught a video of my eel during feeding. He's a big hider so it was exciting to see. Unfortunately I have not spotted the other (unless they each come out one at a time)

bumpidy bump.

All is still going well. Heat is kicking in so I have a big fan on top of my tank.

My gorgeous SPS colony (don't know the name) and monti caps are completely destroyed. I think it was due to my bristletail filefish. A sacrifice that had to be made in order to get rid of the damn majanos (which are almost completely gone at this point). I may wait a bit to get rid of the bristletail filefish, or may keep him to maintain elimination of the majanos; I'd just have to avoid SPS

Your tank is beautiful. BTW the SEIO's you sold me work great. Why didn't you use them? The footprint is a little big, but the output is amazing.

Thanks for the compliment. I've been a bit sad about the sps being eaten up.. they were growing gorgeously so it upsets me a bit.

I thought they were return pumps not powerheads >.< dope I am.
