oowww is that a blue carpet? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear, and nice tang list!
Love me some cardinals! You could get quite the school going. I'm trying to find my ochrestriped cardinal another friend or two
I would think you could drill and use tiewraps. Acrylic might hide better.
noticed a bit of an ich outbreak. I quickly took the plunge (against my previous belief) and got myself a 40w Emperor Aquatics UV with proper flow rate through it. Now it may be coincidence but I'm thinking it had a bit to do with the UV, the ich outbreak disappeared (of course still in the tank, but unnoticeable on the fish themselves) and my fish are looking extremely healthy and happy (knock on wood).
How long has the UV been going? Happy to hear that the outbreak disappeared, but I seem to remember reading that the cycle of ich works this way. They have it, then the little buggers go into the sand and get busy, then a week later they come back iwth double the strength.
Yeah, like I said, I'm 100% sure it's still in the tank. AT first they were all pretty bad, scratching on the sand and rocks. Installed it, then within 2-3 days they were all much better; no more scratching or visible parasites I could see. Ever since, I've maybe see one or two parasites TOPS on each fish, but for the most part they are all extremely happy. Happy I took the plunge and bought the UV. It's been about.... hmmm. 4-5 months since I put the tangs in; and then installed the UV maybe 2 weeks after that.
Let me know if these pics don't show up. I'll upload them tomorrow via my computer if they don't.
