Im thinking about getting a big toadstool to add to the right side just to cover some of the overflow box

lol yeah... I researched the tanks for about a year... Was going to buy one online, and said, "hey what the heck, lets just go to the sale"... this fish store is one of the most overpriced i have ever seen... but the dry goods and tanks just were a heck of a deal.. so we took it the next day.. that thing was a pain to carry into the house lol
 
Good for you. I am still in a loop between 125-170 gallon.

Thats why I was asking about the stand. I am ordering it online myself.
 
get the 170 trust me... you'll always want to upgrade... I cant wait till I can upgrade.. probably wont be soon, but still lol... If you can afford the 170 get it... trust me, you'll be happier.
 
KK toadstool paid for... Bought it from a reefer on RC. Will be here on tuesday... from the picture I saw, it looks great!
 
Any next fish ideas? I'm defintely getting 5 blue/green chromis.. but I need to introduce a new centerpiece fish. Any ideas?
 
wow... very strange... I went into the garage to add some more saltwater to the tank. I looked inside my bucket of salt, and a completely dried up and dead little frog was inside...poor froggy.. probably got in but couldnt get out.
 
Ok! I've made the decision to get a ReefKeeper Elite.
I just have to sell my frag tank setup (which is no longer running), and my U.V Sterilizer.

The RKE is insanely awesome
 
i didn't see anyone mention it.. The damsel is not reef safe.. it is called a Black Damsel, why, i do not know.. It is yellow top, silver with black and teal fins

looking good though keep up the good work
 
WOW... I didnt even know that... He has only nipped at one coral (or that I could have seen) and I thought it was just because he saw the emperor angel nipping.

Jeesh... thats good to know.. I'll have to get him out ASAP... anyone want a free damsel? :)
 
ughh now I have to get the damsel out... I found out that he isnt reef safe... which I can agree with after seeing him eating some of my corals... This is going to be a pain.
 
I was doing a water change today, and I noticed one of my sally lightfoots in the back of the tank laying on it's back ontop of the sand :(

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0-2.5
Phosphate: 0-.1
pH: ~8.3
Calcium: ~400
Alk: ~2.5

Looks pretty good :)
Im happy because it took a few weeks to get my salinity up from 1.02 to where it is now. Nice and gradually. Worked out good.


Damsel is still in the tank though. I wish he would just swim in my net and help me out lol.
 
i think the fish know what your intentions are, with all that rock work its going to be fun getting him out. did you ever get that toad stool in?
