Keeping two different types of nems together...?

Ok i know this question has been asked 100 times before, but i never really paid attention

Well, after a year with my 45 gallon tank, I now am a proud owner of a 90 gallon! sett up and rocks are in. have a few months to figure out my plan, but it will def include a second nem!!

I have 1 gbta right now.

I was thinking of getting a rbta, but I feel like i can handle the responsibilites of getting a 'harder to keep' nem.

My thoughts are a carpet.. mini or big, depends what i find healthy, Im sure it'll take a long time just for a healthy one to come along.
And i also LOVE the carnation nem. or somthing strange like the blue lta that was on reefermaddness.

but, what are the real risks of putting 2 spieces together? Ive seen your tanks with more than one, do you run lots of carbon and hope for the best? has anyone ever had a bad experience mixing two??

It is usually best not to mix them unless you have a large tank. Some people are able to pull it off, but the animals still can be unpredictable. I wouldn't risk it--besides, most of the anemone species get quite large, anyway, so there may be problems later on.

well Ill see what overs have to say, but a true red bta would be just fine too

mixing BTA's, no problem. Others here have had problems mixing carpets with BTA's. I have had ritteri's, haddoni's and M. doreensis together for over 3 years with no issues.

I'll second what Amphiprion and Maww said. It can be done, but there are potential problems with the model. Sometimes it's OK sometimes not.
