does anyone use this? i just bought some yesterday and have started doping the tank up. on the bottle it says to use 1 ml per 4 gallons tank capacity. is this total size of tank(in my case 20g) or only by water volume?

my calcium tested at 300 and my alk was 14-15dKh... i know that this is off but will the kent stuff level it out? BTW, i have a 20g with 40lb LS and 35lb LR... i am guessing that i have about 12 gallons of water. what do you think?

I use it on my nano now, it seems to be doing good. All of my perameters are in check and stable, so I can't really knock it too bad. Seems to be a viable product.

I just quit using the kent nano A & B. I was using it for the last year on my 20 reef and really did not notice that it helped any. I think its a waste of money. Your water changes should supply almost every thing you need . All i half to dose is my calcium and mag.

Randy's home made 2 part imo is the only way to go, very inexspensive works better than the name brands at least for me, especially since I am keeping a 4" Crocea Clam in a 10g

what is randy's homemade 2 part recipe? can you post a link or what it is? startin a 29g nano so any help would be appreciated. sorry 'bought stealing your thread jamynsdad

I've been using it alone and it seems to work well on my 20 cube. I use a cap ful for the 20 with about 8gl sump. Have been since startup Aug 06

You're just paying more for less as someone already stated. It takes 8 drops per 4 gallons, which in anything larger than a 10, means you'll be plowing through that stuff in no time. I have a 10 gallon w/ a 20 Long sump/fuge attached to the tank, and i found it easier to just buy Kent's tech cb part A and B in the gallon jugs. I feel for my system that'll last a long time. Also as someone stated water changes WILL bring the alk/cal to balance (for the most part) but if you have a system demanding alot of alk or calc (or have trouble keeping it in balance) the bigger bottles and less dosage of those would be the way to go.

i used it on my tank and it made the rock i had go from barely any coraline to completely covered in a few months and in that time i only was able to do 3 water changes, used Oceanic salt, and only had 30W of PC over an eclipse 12, everything was doing great and i was growing coral off of the rock
