Kenya tree frag issue?

So I went to drag my Kenya tree coral but when I cut through one of the branches it suddenly released a brown substance into the water...
Is this going to harm anything in my reef tank? I've never seen this happen while fragging ever...

Keep an eye on things. If you notice anything weird with other corals/etc do a water change and add/or replace your carbon.

Im hope u did not try to frag the kenya is the DT!
i had clear white oozing from mine when i frag.

Update, all the corals are looking fine today. Water parameters are still good after putting the frag back into the tank. Will continue to monitor
