Kenya Trees... problems with SPS???

I've heard that Kenya Trees play chemical warfare, but have only heard that this causes problems with leathers. I use to have some spaghetti leather that had major issues PE and shrunk to nearly half its size once I added the Kenya Tree.

My question is this. Has anyone had experience with Kenya Trees causing problems with SPS such as poor color of lack of PE?

I have a 5-6" wide, 6" tall Kenya tree colony on the left of my tank, and touching it is a 5" wide toadstool leather. I keep sps in the middle and right side of my tank with no issues other than one stubborn purple bonsai that has never come out since I got it months ago. Other purple bonsais are fine.

I believe the problem with leathers and Kenya trees is that you don't want sps down stream of them, because leathers can occasionally slime up (although in 5 years mine never have) and irritate them. Also Kenya trees frag themselves and can multiply and take over quickly.

With proper current, carbon, space, and occasional pruning / tree frag cleanup, I don't believe there are any problems with having a couple in the tank.

From my experience with my old 300 gal tank Kenya Tree and xenia will spread to quickly and not a good choice for an SPS tank.

I have grown Kenya tree with many differ types of acro with no problems at all, however the Kenya tree multiplies quickly and will start growing all over.Be sure that they don't overshadow the acro too much !
