Kessil A350

Yes, at center, with goosenecks. I checked with mine, which are over a 90 gallon (18in) but I centered it at 12 inches and was able to get 11in from the water.

hi its good 2 x A350w for my 40x24x24? sps mainly? ora 2 A350 and 1 A350W at center?

I definitely would not mix and match the wide and regulars. Pick one style and stick with it. With regards to if 2 is enough for your 120 I would suggest browsing this thread a little more since it's been discussed many times.

I'd be interested if anyone with both could say how mixing them went on their tank. I've just upgraded to a 150 x 100 x 50 wide/shallow tank (definitely an optimistic footprint for coverage with my 3 A150Ws :)) and I'm wondering if it might be worth doing the 350W for this one, or something like using a mix of 150s/350s, or even doing something more interesting like using a moving light rail system on it.

I noticed the RB blog had this shot up from the recent SCMAS show -

captioned "Contest winner, with lights shut down. Workmanship is incredible.", no idea whose display that was or anything though. But it seems to show them mixing 350s and 350Ws on it.

Ive never seen those white plastic/metal pieces that allows the Kessils to be pointed straight down from the angle there placed at. Would be cooler if they were black to match but they're pretty cool, anyone using them?

I assumed they were a custom piece of metalwork they used - looks like some hollow metal tube, and the end that would normally screw straight into the back of the light is screwed to a piece of metal at the perpendicular instead, that then attaches onto the rear eyelet hooks (or the screws for them).

OK on googling some more there's a writeup of the tank on the top link if you google "capistrano reef" "reef a palooza", with some more pictures of the setup itself. Apparently this is an in-store display tank that they moved over for the show.

I just switched from 3-150s to 2-350w over my 33 gal sps tank and I love it. I have sps on the bottom of my tank, 20" and they do just fine. I also have a clam.

But what I'm really interested in is getting back to the discussion on dimming capabilities of these lights with a third party. Anyone try it yet? I will get some picks of my tank tomorrow just made the switch today.

I'm thinking of making the switch to LEDs on my 420 gallon tank it's 6',3.5',2.5' would the blue tuna work? And how should i get? I'm curtley running 6 400w metal halides

so how far up can I mount one of these guys at 100% with my new tank which is 30x30x12 and about 11" of water-planing on all sps?

Im sold on the 350 for my 10g Sps frag tank...saw 1 running over Sps yesterday at a local store and the Corals looked great!
