Kessil AP 700 Owners Gather Here!

Just woke up this morning to find the AP700 over my frag tank on. Not sure if it was following a program or just on full blast. This is with 3.40 firmware. So whatever causes the lights to randomly turn on, must still be present in 3.40. It was not on when I went to bed last night just after midnight.

I logged into the App, re-saved the program and the light went instantly off.

Hmmm. Since the 3.4 update, the scheduling has been perfect for me.

This is the first time that it has happened for me. I had seen other people's reports of similar behaviour, so as soon as I went downstairs and saw a blue glow coming from what should have been a dark basement, I had a pretty good idea of what was going on.

Yeah I'm one of the ones that experienced that problem on 3.3

Very strange iPhone issue today. For whatever reason I can not get my Kessil app to even open. I get the Kessil water screen and then it just hangs there for a few seconds until it disappears and goes back to the home screen. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
BTW all other iPhone apps are working fine...

Cancel that ...... Did a hard reboot of phone and it works now

I am happy to report that with the 3.4 beta firmware and the updated app, I am able to connect the light to my wifi network now! =D

NVM. I'm super frustrated with the software of this fixture at the moment and it wasn't a good time to vent. I'll collect my thoughts and calm down and post about it later.

EDIT: Post removed

Gah, the same thing happened last night. Light on my frag tank was supposed to go off at 11:00 PM. I was up watching TV and noticed that at 11:30 PM the Frag tank was going at max intensity still (for the program). Like last time, I had adjusted the program last night while the light was on and I thought it was fine, but clearly it was not. Connecting to the light from the App, immediately made it shut off.

I am putting 5 of these units over my new tank, but it would be good if they did not stick on.

There was an issue with the new beta that caused that and was fixed with an updated version that quickly released for it soon after.

Was it all the lights stuck on? If so try updating the firmware again and/or try a different lead light fixture.

Seems the problem was the program would get stuck at what ever it was when after you saved the program. It would just get stuck there. I was able to get it going by unplugging the lights for a few minutes then restarting the app until the program was rolling.

The light that this occurred on is using 3.4. I thought this was the replacement firmware after the recent 3.3 release. Is there a newer one again than 3.4?

I'm not certain, Kessil can tell you. So you are running the beta? Then you should be in contact with Kessil anyway to report problems and bugs so they can get them fixed. We can discus issues here but none of use can fix them. Send them an email, see what they say. If I was home I would check into it for you.

I got the beta app now. What are some of the differences between the live and the beta version?

The home screen now shows what % the light is at and any custom R/G values. You can also back up your settings to the cloud and restore them.

Could somebody tell me whether the AP700 dims down lower than the 360 before shutting off (latter shuts off at about 12%)?

Anybody having issues with it not coming on on time? I have it ramping from 0 to 20 for the first hour and it came on about 5 mins early much brighter than 1%

It is programmed this way on purpose to prevent people from starting there lights at a high percentage without a ramp up.
