That would be the best. Not sure but there could be a difference in those apps, the iPhone being the latest.

Hm, I followed the instructions to prevent my light from randomly turning on - create a new program from quick set 1 and preview before saving - and it still happened at 1:04am. I emailed kessil.

I've not seen it happen since the update but I'll keep a look out.

I'm having a hard time getting the new app to work. I loaded my settings from the cloud by logging into google and its all there, but my light will not change/respond to any of the changes I do in the app. It's pretty annoying having to reconfigure things for the 100th time, but hey, we're beta testers after all. lol

Oh, and I purchased a 2 T5 retrofit kit from BRS with two coral+ bulbs to run in the front and back. I've read other posts saying the Blue+ and the AP 700's were too blue. Plus, I like a more 20k radium look.

Have you downloaded the newest iPhone version that just came out? And when was the last time you confirmed the firmware?

I got my 48" LET T5 retro kit! Hopefully I will install it this weekend!

Nice! How long is your tank? Do not under estimate how much light T5s add, if you have a PAR meter try to match your PAR. If not reduce your peak by half for a few weeks.

48x30x24. I had difficulty lighting the back due to my canopy limiting the height of the fixture to increase the spread.

I don't have any coral yet cause it has been mostly fish only, but just one hammer low on the rock work and so far it's still alive after all the PAR. Lol But yeah, I get what you mean!

So here is my install of two t5s using the LET dimmable T5 retrofit kit. It wasn't too difficult to install, but it did take me a little pondering to figure out the wiring. This ballast is dimmable through my Apex.

I'll take some daylight shots later. I used two coral plus t5s instead of blue plus. The coral plus is already a very blue bulb as it is. I had to run the kessil on a whiter setting. These bulbs really fill in the shadows and make up for lack of coverage. It also really brings out the reds and purples of the tank. My lineatus literally GLOWS. Lol hopefully, I can get more coral in the tank soon. But so far, I really like the results and this combo. The shimmer is still very evident.

More pics coming soon!

Like I posted before. Do not underestimate the amount of just two T5s put out in addition to the Kessils. I would closely monitor your corals and dim the lighting for awhile.

Notice the jump in PAR here. This is on the sand bed, Kessil @70%, then you see the T5s switch on.

I agree.. T5s especially with very good reflectors like what ATI has are very, very powerful. I've been watching PAR closely, but my corals even closer. Have you seen the BRS PAR testing videos on T5s? Good stuff

Yea, that video pretty much made it a must that I included T5. They have too many great benefits not to use them. I had planned on adding 4 total bulbs but now I feel that isn't necessary, 2 is going to do it just fine.

Also, the reflectors on your LET retro fit and my Hamilton are just as good and combined with ATI bulbs make a great light system into a Hyper Light system!

Where is your PMK located?

I just pulled the trigger on the Aruba T5 retro kit and 1xCoral+ and 1xBlue+.

I still am not sure how I am going to mount these since I just have the AP700 on the mounting arms right now, but I'm sure I can figure something out...

My only concern is adjusting the tank to the new light -- any recommendations? I have three factors here. The first is the addition of the T5 lights, the second is that with the T5s I will no longer need the slight diffusion lenses to chill the shimmer out and the third is that I can lower the AP700 with the T5s. I'm gonna probably have to set the AP700 to at least half of where it is right now to start out with, I'd think?
