You will want to set the time for when you have the lights going off as dusk. Then dawn is when your lights turn on. That's at least what I did with my moonlights. I actually don't use the moonlight feature anymore. I may in the future.

I know that my 2 connected ap700's will vary in which one turns on/off by a few minutes. I assume it's mimicking the sun as it moves across the sky.
Good question and I don't have an answer as I have the same question haha. I know that my 2 connected ap700's will vary in which one turns on/off by a few minutes. I assume it's mimicking the sun as it moves across the sky.

You can set dawn earlier to make the moon lights go off. I set my dusk/dawn cycle to 11pm (when main lights go off) to 2am so that the tank gets a period of total darkness.
Or does the AP700 simulate a full moon cycle over the course of the night meaning that it will vary intensity across days and times? There's no information about how their moonlight works but it does have the "starting cycle" setting.

Just an update of growth since I've stopped chasing low nutrients. This efflo has grown about 1 cm in little over 3 weeks. You can see the newer growth as the white band on the bottom. It's encrusted to the live rock. This was a few weeks ago and it's already put out more growth since.
Anyone worried these lights cannot grow sps is mistaken. All my other corals are all baseing out and shooting up new growth plus really coloring up!

These lights seem to match well with slightly higher nutrients than the typical reef lights.
My tank does best at 3-4 ppm nitrates n 0.03ppm phosphates.

Question on Acclimation Feature: If I click the acclimation icon at the bottom of my light program, does that activate the preprogrammed acclimation feature that reduces the intensity and then gradually ramps up over time? PS. First time trying to attach a pic using photobucket. Not sure what's gonna happen. http://
I have a plan to get 2 units for my 180g 6 ft tank, I am new to the hobby, but I see people I having lots of issues with this lights. Should I better consider another unit Radion or Hydra instead. I heard lots of also good things about kessil so not sure which one to pick.
