You can always start a high light coral in a low light situation. You cannot put a low light coral in a high light situation.

Makes sense!
I just hope the 2 Kessil 160's will do the trick!

So noticed my SPS. after being in my tank a month or more, either go pale or just brown out completely - wondering if I should supplement the Kessils with a T5 strip for added colour?
I run 2 x 360WEs over a 35 gallon tank (60cm x 45cm x 45cm) at 50% colour and 50% intensity.

That is plenty of light for SPS
See I thought the same, but i've been told that they don't provide enough punch for SPS and there's too much light spillage :hmm2:
I am running 2x a360we and 1 a160we tuna blue above my sps dominated reef tank. Settings are 60% power 50 % color and everything is growing like crazy! My tank is 48x24x24
Just had a PAR meter on my tank, and my fears were confirmed - poor PAR across the board from the Kessils.
And that's running them at 100%.
Will be ordering an ATI Hybrid shortly.

you are not going to get accurate par readings from the kessils or any leds
I currently have an a150 over my 29 gal. AGA. I keep it 6 inches above the water line and centered. I just bought an a160we from parrthed. I was going to do a straight swap. Will this be ok? I understand that the a160we is 40 watts as opposed to the a150's 34 watts. Should I raise the a160we to 8 or 9 inches off of the water?
