Kessil Question

I traded with a folk on CL for a Kessil A360we and found that two rows of the LEDs wasn't lighted up. Does Kessil has two year warranty on their lights? The folk said he didn't registered the light though. Do you think Kessil will replace or repair the light under this situation? If not, will it be a easy fix?

I won't deal on CL anymore.

When I had a malfunctioning A350 that I bought used, Kessil offered me a brand new replacement at a lower cost, but it still wasn't cheap. They told me that they don't fix them since it's too expensive. The new A360we I purchased did come with a 2 year warranty.

I would suggest contacting Kessil to see what they say. I had some missing parts and contacted them regarding getting replacement and they were able to do a one time complimentry replacement.

damn it must be hard staring into that light to see if all the leds lighted up :)

I was thinking the same thing, I wanted to go check my light now but I wouldn't even be able tell if it was lit up or not!

OP - how did you figure this out?

Yes, don't look at the light directly of course.

I looked at the reflection on a piece of the acrylic sheet when I tested it. then I took a picture (tap on the screen so it can focus) used my phone just to making sure.

Got a hold with Kessil. They asked me for my credit card information and the security code before they can send me a replacement. They said its like a security deposit and won't be charge anyting after they received the defectived unit I shipped back. Had everyone done this before? I don't feel comfortable by giving out those info. Hope its not a scam or something.

Ah, that makes sense. Ecotech does the same thing. I wouldn't be too concerned. But, since you're relatively close, you can always just drop off the light at Kessil in Richmond.

I think if they are Shipping you the new light first they require a cc for security deposit.

Wow - very clever. I'm about to buy another light and was concerned about this issue but didn't know how to check. Thanks!

I've done the replacement under warranty. Gave them my info and they shipped out the new Kessil ASAP. Got it within 2 days. I sent back the defective Kessil and the pending charge dropped off my account. I would recommend using a CC vs Debit because they will put a "hold" on funds to make sure you send back the defective unit. Just make sure to send back the old Kessil within 10 days. You should have no worries. Kessil usually has great customer service.

Received my replacement last night and added as supplements to my Tek fixture. Waiting for Kessil send me the return lable so i can ship the defective one back.

AWESOME!!!

Instead of looking directly into the Kessil LED light fixture, why don't you take a photo of the Kessil while it is On. Then, look at the photo to see if any LED's aren't working.
