I am taking my 6 year old niece on her first trip to the ocean. She can swim, but is not a strong swimmer. I got her a snorkeling set, but am wondering about floatation to be used with it, can she just wear her life vest?
Also, we are going to be staying near Marathon. We have a day trip planned to Dry Tortugas one day, but have about 3 more open days. I was thinking Bahia Honda park, and Pennekamp. Anything else that's good for kids?
I know this is wimpy, but we want to snorkel a lot, but I don't really want her to see a shark, especially while she's getting used to it. Is that very likely?
