Killing/removing shrooms

Luffy does luv his corals. Big difference between a mushroom and a dog. Big. Like not even close. Coral has about a much feeling and thought as a head of lettuce so I would pain over cutting it back about as much eating a salad.

Corals are not plants, despite you not getting my dog comparison. ;) Or anything else I said, apparently. Going to ignore you now, I am sorry for you. I am also female.

Hey Jimbo.... I had a similar problem and used an x-acto knife (kind thats used in hobbies like model plane building) they are very sharp. Try scraping using an x-acto knife as close as possible to the base, that'll knock off 99% of the shroom, then just scrape the rock a bit more to get any left overs off.
I'd gladly go pick up any shrooms you cut off.
If you ULTIMATELY pull the rock, I could trade you a rock to replace that one.

Please stay on topic. I suggest you find a different thread to post in if you are not interested in answering the original question.

Sounds like pretty good advice, but I might consider making a kalk paste and swabbing over the base area when done to try and pick off any remaining cells. Just be careful that you don't get it doesn't get on stuff you want to keep.

LOL. I bet those mushrooms weren't imported, they were farmed in the tank. I agree, the "animal" designation is a stretch, technically correct, but for the purposes of this thread no different than the zoas and chaeto and pieces of monti cap I throw in the trash on a semi-regular basis. Man if I had a dime for every "animal" I've killed in this hobby:D
