and then Charlene and George, who will give you the shirt off there backs.i don't think you know how helpful you are to me and others. its people like this that make this hobby better and easier for all of us. because of there kindness i am able to help others. so thank you to all you kind keepers:)

anyone else wants to add there own helpers ,feel free:) there are alot of them!

Another bump for Charlene and George. What an amazing couple of reefers. I try to be as helpful as them, but its such a tall order.

Definitely Charlene and George because like you said they will give you the shirts off there backs. Also wanted to say you too Chris. You and Missy are always up to help someone out and have always been quick to answer or try to answer any questions or problem I have thrown your way. You guys are great people too, don't short change yourselves.

I'll be another to add how much I appreciate everything Charlene and George do for the hobby and the club from just the short time I've been hanging around. There are a bunch of folks who have shown amazing kindness in helping me get started and sharing their knowledge or collections with me. Chriskid to start, Emessier, Schecter, Unlcepain, Icycoral, Greenighs and I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple. Last and certainly not least I probably wouldn't be in the hobby at all if it weren't for Collin, he's made it very approachable and shared so much knowledge (as well as many frags and long distance frag-trips) with me. Not to mention helping set up my first tank, then moving the same tank to a new home recently. So thank you kind reefers

Before I even met him, Rob (my2girls) has been helping me with my tank. Our wives worked together a couple years ago and my wife would go to work and ask Heather about whatever problem I was having she'd ask Rob relay that to Ashley then back to me. Last year Rob checked up on my tank for me while I was on vacation and I didn't have to worry about it at all which is great when you're trying to relax. He has really helped me understand water chemistry and corals needs and honestly my tank has done far better than it would've without his guidance. Thanks Rob:beer:

Ryan (Reefer) has also been very generous to me. He's stocked a lot of my tank and given me some really nice pieces. All of the times I invited myself over intending to stay 20 minutes and 2 hours goes by and he never makes you feel like you overstayed your welcome.

Scott (swannyson7) The same goes for him, I've got some nice stuff in my tank from him and even working 3rd shift he'll sit and talk reef in no hurry for you to leave.

Tuckerhoang also a genuinely nice guy. Opens his house/tanks to anyone I've brought a quite few people over just to see those koi. Always willing to give a hand even though he's really busy.

They don't pop up much on the boards but Markh65 helped a BUNCH with my basement sump, drilling my tanks, and he gave me a bunch of corals to start out with and also T5PO(? Kenroyn) helped me alot with my skimmer mod.
Also would like to thank Chriskid, Charlene, Bob, and Eric who are always there to answer my thread questions!! :)

Ive gotten great advise, help with questions, and some really great frags from lots of members. To name a few:

Gullandr
My buddy roman, a guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He has helped me out more times than I could count with corals and equipment as well as advise on aquariums and life. He is a true friend.

Dlandino
Another of the first few club members I met. Dave's a genuine nice guy and one of the first I traded with. He opened up his home and welcomed me as a friend.

Cato
Has the most impressive system I've seen. One of the chilliest reefers I know. I've recieved frags from him as well as indispensable advice and support. Seeing his system inspires me to dream big.

Kynan
Again one of the first guys I met, has an impressive system and a big heart. Another reefer who has inspired me. A really great guy.

Chriskid
My bud Chris is a great guy. His passion for reefing shows in the fantastic tank he has. We've helped each other out, he's someone I can count on for just about anything. A great friend I've met in this incredible hobby.

Bubbabobob
My buddy bob, he lives close by and we carpool to all sorts of club meetings and events. Another great guy who's honest and has a huge heart.

Tod and Ryan (mylifeismyown) at Fintastic
They have bent over backwards and gone out of their way to help me find fish, corals, and all sorts of other things I've needed for my aquarium. They've put up with my complaining and crazy demands. They are a hard working bunch and a indespensible asset to anyone.

Reefer
Ryan an awesome guy with a great tank. Thanks for the corals man!

Swannyson
Scotts a great guy and very generous with frags.

Charlene and her hubby
A fabulous bunch who help as much out a ton.

Puppy center
For supporting our club, their generosity has been amazing.

The BOD past and present
They give their time and hard work to keep the club going.

A big thank you to anyone who's ever bough a frag off me. It's helped me pay electric bill and keep my tanks going. This club has introduced me to so many cool people who have helped me out along the way. The friends I've made and help I've recieved have made my tank what it is. I hope I can give back just a little bit of all the help I've received.

I agree and all of you keep this club Rollin and Chriskid bow yourself we needed you to fire off the frag workshop that I can't wait till the text one round of applause for all of you :)

I have only been in the hobby for a short while but I must say that I can always count on Chriskid. He has helped me out from start to finish with the design and build of my system. Finding the deals that I never knew existed. Stocking my tank with frags and guiding me thru the ropes so I didn't have the problems that others experienced. I also know that the deals came from other reefers and I thank you for that even though you probably didn't even know I was the one you were helping.

I can't say enough about the members of this club. I know that my father, son and myself have all learned a great deal from everyone and are much farther ahead than we would ever be without you guys. Bob gave me my first frag and Chris, Missy, Charlene and George have all been awesome. Sandia has also been very generous (if I could just get myself to a meeting to pick up the BTA :spin2:, I'll be at this one) Really I should list everyone's names as I have gotten great feedback and advice from all of you and learned a ton!

If the world could follow what we do here, I could only imagine what a great place everyone could be living in.

I have the wonderful opportunty to share items that have been given to me so others can enjoy some of the happiness I have.

There are abundant number of fellow reefers that consistantly give their knowledge, time and other resources. I just happen to be at the end of the loop.

Please acknowlege the other reefer who has given me the items to pass along as well.

My first encounter with this club was the Atlantis trip that lead to the introduction with Icycoral. His generosity and guidance took me by surprise. He has been my role model. Since then it has been my privledge to be engaged with this club.

I should not be surprised but the continuing sharing is constantly an uplifting and needed thing in today's world.

Remember folks, this club is everyone and I thank you for being there for all of us.

Although I have been a member of CTARS for a couple of years, its been only recently that I have been active in reefkeeping. During this short period of time I have met some great people (my2girls, chriskid & icycoral) who have been very helpful in my reefkeeping endeavor. I also have noticed that several LFS have been supportive of CTARS but the Puppy Center seems to consistently support our hobby with participation in CMAC, frag swap in Storrs and with very generous gifts for the CTARS raffles. But most importantly I appreciate all those people who post on these threads with questions and answers. It's very important that experienced reeefers, like swannyson7 and others share their experiences with the rest of us. By reading thses post I have learned much more than I would have by just reading books or magazines. It's this combination of people willing to share, LFS support and posters who make this hobby more interesting and fun.

it's good to here about all the people in this club slash forum. I didn't expect all of you to mention me..lol but thankful I am. There are many more I'm sure:-)

Good thread. This is a nice change from the usual drama that is CTARS.

One of my favorite things is sharing tank stories and beers with my fellow reefers.
