I used a copperband butterfly fish, they work great. do a shearch on this site for more info.

Yeah a lot of people try to go the natural way...but those fish are ALL caught wild...and half of them never make it to people's tanks because they die.

Anyway...I see no reason not to be able to use .25ml, that's a minute amount if you have a good sized aquarium...now if your zapping a few of them in a 12 gallon cube or something, I wouldn't do it...JMHO.

There is something called aiptasia stop at my local pet store. It is a small bottle that comes with a syringe and you are to inject each anemone with it. Supposed to be reef safe and not affect your parameters. I had way too many aiptasia to even think about going that route.

I went with peppermint shrimp and a koran angel. That combo worked out to be great and my aiptasia were gone in a week! The only problem was that the koran angel eventually ate my colony polyps and took bites out of my clam mantle. He also had a liking for horn coral and nipping at firefish. So he got evicted and traded to the local fish store.

The only other fish that ate aiptasia in my tank was an eibli angel, but it also liked nipping at horn coral.

Hope that helps. And the peppermint shrimp are great at eating smaller aiptasia, but they might not eat the large ones.

I have used Joe's Juice and it worked well. I would also get small amount of aquarium expoy and cover the hole where the large aptasia would retreat to. I would then use a peprment shrimp to maintain the tank after I got rid of off the large aptasia.

I agree with the boiling water, I personally take a syringe full of alk mix (from my doser) heat it in the microwave, and inject into aptasia.
