I used an aqualifter to feed my DIY reactor. I got fed up with it (it clogged, it was loud, etc) so I made a T for my return line...
Basically, my return line is 3/4" vinyl tubing (which goes to my oceans motions squirt wavemaker). Found at OSH a T piece that has two 3/4" hosebarbs 9as the arms of the "T") and an female NPT threaded part (the body of the "T"). I took a PVC plug (male threaded plug, versus a female threaded CAP) and drilled a hole in the end. The I tapped it for 1/4" npt threads (this was the part that needs some extra tools, mainly a tap) and screwed into it a "John Guest" threaded valve. The valve has male threads on one side and quick-connect on the other side.
IT works pretty good so far! I like that I no longer need another pump to feed the reactor.
Before using the aqualifter, I tried just siphon-feeding the reactor, but flow is not really consistent that way.
