Display Tank Photos

I've recently just finished the Display Tank (the cabinetry wasn't finished) and I also installed a LED cool white strip beneath the Caesar stone counter top! It looks really polished now... :bounce1::bounce2::bdaysmile:

As you can tell I'm excited...Here are a few pictures before;

The Bottom Cabinet Doors are Frosted Glass and I also installed some subtle LED lighting behind them so they glow a little!

Here are some pictures of the upper doors open, I installed some special pistons on them so when I work on the tank the doors stay open!

Multiple Tangs in a Tank

Multiple Tangs in a Tank

Tank looks amazing! Have you noticed and agression with all those tangs in there?

There are alot of ways/things to consider when getting multiple tangs...

1) Keep your tangs fed really well...when your tangs are hungry they go into survival mode and they start to pick on each other at this point! :fish1:

2) Keeping multiple tangs in a tank can help because it seems to divide the agression up quite a bit.

3) Some times it happens that certain tangs are overly aggressive so while they are in quarantine I place the Tang in question into a mini plastic tank within the quarantine so that the fish can get used to seeing each other.

4) Make sure you buy fish in appropriate sizes like buying certaing tangs small and large. Also making sure you put the most aggresive tangs in last.

Hope this helps...

Led strip lighting is fantastic.. how are you powering them? those are the ones on a reel right? like 12vdc?

I just stumbled upon you build and this system is by for one of the best I have ever seen, keep up the gud work.. And keep us updated

Very nice I really like how open it is no solid rock wall. Are you planning on keeping the back of the tank clear or will you put something over it? So you can't see into the fish room.

That is great advice since I plan on having multiple tangs and species in my setup. Very well explained.

Good job. I like the ceasar stone and led

I really liked the look that it gives...very contemporary!

They are the kind that came on a reel...I had to purchase an adapter for them to be able to plug it into a wall.

Thanks for the encourment I don't deserve such a huge compliment :fun4:

That's not a fish room behind it, that's another living room. This is a three sided tank where two sides are visible from the living room side and one more side visible from the family room!

Also it helps to have size when it comes to having a lot of Tangs! Overkill :uzi: when it comes to feeding makes such a big difference so while they are in quarantine mode I keep their nori replenished as often as possible.
