or Chelmon marginalis.

LA Diver's Den has been having these ocassionally for a while now.

Has anyone here purchased one and would you share your experience with these fish?

Thanks.

I do not have one but as I understand they are typically an "easier to feed" fish than a Copperband with much the same habbits (don't EXPECT it to be reef safe...). -Steve

Friend of mine has one that he got from LA DD.

-Needs to be fed multiple times per day.
-His came in eating all kinds of prepared foods. (Mysis, Brine, Marine Plankton, etc.)
-Ate all of his acans.
-No other corals were picked on to my knowledge.

Did anyone else think the last one DD had had an exceptionally pale/missing back stripe? I thought it was rather unique...

Thanks Amoore.
Acans huh?

Obviously, I have been thinking about getting one.
I have Anthias so I feed 3-5 times a day.
I only have a one lord in my sps tank. It can go in another tank.

The one on DD is a fairly big one, 4 inches.
If I pull the trigger it will be for a smaller one. They had a 2.5 inch one a few weeks ago.

SD, I saw that one. They all look kinda cool to me. :fish1:

If eating, I like the larger size, quite frankly. Small butterflies, while they *may* adapt easier, also need smaller foods. I currently have a small and large yellow long nose, and the small one is a PITA to keep fat, due to the TINY foods it will only eat.

Acans apparently taste very good lol.

It seems to be the case with any "reef safe with caution" fish, that they will eat acans no matters what haha. They will leave everything else alone, but those acans are as good as gone.

Here's some photo's of my friends fish:

Well, I would assume that any fish from DD will be eating before shipment, after acclimation, who knows?
I add about a teaspoon of cyclopeze to my food mixture everyday for the anthias. Do you use cyclops? And do your butterflies like it?

Thanks for the photos Amoore.
