LAK's 15g Cube

It looks better every time I see a pic of your progress.
The key to a good paint finish is in the prep work and the tools. Make sure you get good applicators ie. (brushes, rollers, etc) designed for the type of paint you plan on using. Good luck with the color change.

Wanna have a play date? I'll get the wood, nails, and sand paper......

Man I am beat after the stand build. I called Sean and told him I now understand why these things cost so stinking much. Building my first stand was fun, but a lot of work. I still can't believe Sean and I knocked out the one for my rimless tank in one night.

Thanks Harold. Sean and I just discussed how to go about the paint job and recommended some specific brushes and rollers to use, as well as some tricks to get a nice finish.

I used to work for my uncle's painting business when I was in high school/college, so hopefully some of that experience will come rushing back to me in my sleep tonight.

Water...Water...Water!!! LOL ;)
Yeah she told me she wants water Saturday! Next week sometime is probably more realistic though.

Yeah, I am just playing around. At this point I obviously understand the importance of upfront due diligence and patience.

I think he just needs to quit twiddling his thumbs and get that stand painted so I can set it up already....gaaaaawd

The inside still needs to be painted with white epoxy and the doors need to be hung but it's just about done. :D

Guess it's time to order the Coralvue Lumen Bright Mini! ;)

The first coat turned out really nice, wtg. Are you using paint or a stain? I'm curious because I didn't expect to see the grain of the plywood, although I do like the effect of it showing like it does.
