Nice bluish squamosa that's about 15" in length and around 12" across with mantle spread out. It's been in captivity for many years and is outgrowing my tank. It deserves a larger aquarium. $300

That's an impressive clam Alan!
How long did it take to grow to it's current size ?
Got it from Sang almost 3 yrs ago; I believe he had it for several years and another reefer had it for a few years prior to that. Must be at least 10-12 yrs in captivity.

Very cool to have such a clam that was well taken care of by this group of reefers. If possible, please start a thread and post the earlier progression pictures before passing it onto the next care giver.

It was an awesome experience to see that giant Squamosa clam which is over 3' and weighs 500 pounds in Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu. Maybe someday this clam will be in a tank in the Steinhart aquarium.

GL to the next fella who keeps this clam.
